Arun Uppal

Arun brings to Plane View over 15 years of diversified aviation industry experience that has spanned the aircraft leasing, aircraft OEM, airline, management consulting and education sectors.  During this time, Mr. Uppal has assumed leadership roles in areas that have included strategy development, operational improvement, and organizational transformation.  Specific functional competencies include airline and aircraft economics, maintenance cost analysis, market forecasting, and program / project management.

Prior to joining Plane View Partners, Mr. Uppal led transformation and redesign of the Engineering and Maintenance division for Malaysia Airlines in Kuala Lumpur on behalf of Seabury Aviation and Aerospace.  Additional previous experience includes: Assistant Vice President of Strategic Planning at International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), Senior Associate at the Seabury Group, Airline Marketing at Bombardier Commercial Aircraft (C Series), Network Planning at America West Airlines/US Airways and Professor at Seneca College's School of Aviation and Flight Technology. Mr. Uppal holds a MBA in Aviation from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montreal and a BSc in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Toronto.
