Joseph TRENKAMP

Joe joins Plane View Partners as a Senior Advisor with over 20 years of broad experience with key leadership roles in FP&A, strategic planning and treasury.  He has successfully demonstrated his functional abilities across multiple industries, with a focus on aviation businesses since 2010. He is proficient in directly advising top management, driving change through process improvement and creating highly functioning analytical teams.

Mr. Trenkamp recently held a CFO position for an aviation holding company which specialized in providing parts, services and leased assets to airlines and MROs.  He was Vice President and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis at ILFC for 4 years and continued this role for a year after the sale of ILFC to AerCap.  At ILFC, he created and led a successful FP&A department that did not previously exist while facilitating the successful divestiture of ILFC from AIG during the sale to AerCap.  He was also directly involved in the planning and execution of ILFC’s largest acquisition, airline bankruptcy analysis and risk mitigation, and the evaluation of aircraft portfolios for sale, purchase or secured debt issuance.

In addition to his roles at Aercap and ILFC, Mr. Trenkamp has held key finance, treasury, business consulting and accounting roles for top firms including AIG, JP Morgan Chase, Thomson Reuters and PWC.  He also holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
