Johannes (Joe) Büchling

Johannes (Joe) is a senior advisor to Plane View Partners, bringing to clients a variety of Aviation experience ranging from business and technical analysis, strategic planning, Mergers & Acquisitions, and data modeling. In his career, Joe has worked with airlines, airports, OEMs, aircraft leasing firms, investors, and international aviation organizations.  In his most recent consultancy assignment he has worked with a regional aircraft leasing startup building a portfolio of more than 50 aircraft. Key focus areas included deal assessments, maintenance reserve modeling, data analytics, and strategic positioning.

Prior to his consultancy career, Joe has worked as a Flight Data analyst for the International Air Transport Association (IATA) where he provided 30+ airlines around the globe with analysis of flight data recorder readings, and supported the development of an international flight data exchange platform (FDX).  Joe is the holder of a frozen ATPL with a Citation 525 type rating. A graduate from Cranfield University with a MSc in Airport Planning and Management, and a BSc in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
