NUNO Leal

Nuno is a seasoned airline executive that brings Plane View Partners 15 years of experience in the aviation sector. Nuno was recently the Head of Fleet Planning and Management for TAP Air Portugal where he led the group’s aircraft and engines acquisition, leasing and financing. Nuno recently led TAP’s complete fleet transformation process in 2020. He steered the teams that successfully managed the integration of all the new generation aircraft programs, namely the A330neo, A321LR and A320neo family aircraft. While at TAP, he also successfully financed over $4 billion on new technology aircraft and engines, as well as managed the phase-out and sale programs for older aircraft to support the fleet renewal. Nuno was the primary TAP focal point for all OEMs, major suppliers, lessors and financiers.

In addition to his work with Plane View Partners, Nuno is currently lecturer of the Master of Air Transport Operations in ISEC, Lisbon, and he is part of the Strategic Council for Scientific and Technological Research in Aviation (CEICTA).

Nuno was born in Madeira, Portugal, and graduated and earned the MSc in Mechanical Engineering at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon where he was also a scientific researcher for several years.
