Sergey Kulyagin is an Advisor to Plane View Partners, bringing to clients Aviation and Aerospace industry experience developed from a variety of leadership positions spanning strategic planning and development, business analysis, turnaround, cost-cutting, M&A and due diligence and marketing projects. Most recently in his position as Head of Strategic Execution and Development at International Lease Finance Corporation (“ILFC”) and Aercap, Sergey led or was directly involved in the approval, planning and execution of the company’s major strategic initiatives including the sale of ILFC by the Parent AIG, attempted IPO, acquisition of a part-out company, acquisition / sale of aircraft portfolios, revamp of company’s system of internal processes / controls and IT tools, and evaluation of long-term strategic alternatives.
Prior to ILFC, Mr. Kulyagin was a Senior Associate at Seabury Consulting, a division of Seabury Aviation & Aerospace, where he led a number of M&A, forecast, turn-around, operational optimization and profit improvement projects with major airlines and investors. Before Seabury, Mr. Kulyagin served as Marketing Manager at Airbus Americas contributing to a number of successful sales campaigns. Most significantly, he led the marketing campaign for single-aisle aircraft in the successful sale of 90+ aircraft to US Airways – then largest Airbus customer in 2007.
